The Entertainment World of Coding

<I> <found> <a> <new><fun><thing> <for> <me> <to> <experience>. That thing is called coding. Fun for me like this is rare and hard to come by. In all honesty, I did not expect to find myself curious about <a href> <br> or other elemental references. However, this feeling occurred after I (the artist) found inspiration to create a webpage from my celebrity idols webpages: e.g Rihanna and Beyonce. I got a chance to see how beautiful creativity can really allow a persons page to stand apart from the rest. I found myself watching videos and tutorials on code, which turned out to be a lot easier than I once thought.

Rihanna’s page had an interesting outline on the front. The navigator was displayed as sidebar with image links nesting on her page all within a gray scale view. I found this idea to be interested as it changed into its RGB colorized picture when the mouse is hovered across it.  Beyonce had an interesting web page for her main page, as her pictures were a mixture of editorial and instragram pictures that were shown in a scroll up motion. Her navigator bar hides to the side of the page until you click on an icon at the top left hand corner when then opens the navigation menu with her list of menu options, which I thought was very creative.

Two of my favorite icons, continue to amaze me even on a digital level, as an artist. I want what they have. The beauty of it being here at Full Sail University I can actually obtain what they have through strategy. That is my focus. Code just adds itself to the many hats I currently posses thanks to this school. Webpage design will be a major asset in how I develop ecommerce.

The life of an Artist Manager

At one point in my life I thought being an artist manager was about being behind a desk filing paper work, making calls, stressing in a cubicle. However, as I’ve come to Full Sail University I’ve noticed, that doesn’t have to be the case. Many different artists share their own style of doing things within the industry. Their personal styles allow their success stories to shine along with their managers.

I am a coach, I am an advisor, I am a healer, and I try to provide as well.
I would want to do everything in my power to make sure my artist is successful. Who wouldn’t want that? Making sure that my artist and I both are getting paid correctly is the prize from hard work. Are royalties being delivered on time from distributors, are there any remaining residuals? These are a few questions of many that would surround me in the life and times of my artist. I would enjoy the stress of deadlines when it comes down to something that I love versus something that I do not. Wouldn’t’ we all?

I am a traveler, I’ll say that much first, and with that being said I don’t enjoy being stuck doing the same thing. Under a normal day I’d wake up in my apartment, take a shower, put on my clothes, fix something to eat and start my day. My day in the life of a manager will be all the more exciting, waking up in a hotel in Japan, ordering some Tsukemen ramen noodles, contacting the concert area to make sure all the details are ready and listed. All of these things will be a full turn to what I want in life. Dreams will come true for me, and this is only the beginning, stay tuned.

BET Awards 2015

QueShaon Williams
6/4/15

Lights, Camera, Action … of Los Angeles! Upcoming soon is something very important as an Artist I aspire to be apart of. That is the BET Awards 2015! The BET Awards have been such an inspiration to all Artists representing many genres of today’s music! So much so, that BET awards have hosted performance artist including BeyoncĂ©, Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, John Legend, and so much more! That is one of my aspiring dreams to be able to performance as an artist at the event!

The BET Awards originally started in 2001 and have lived on in a 14-year experience. Currently, Tracee Eliss Ross and Anthony Anderson are set to host this year’s show. This particular award show grants a chance to acknowledge African Americans and other persons for their achievements in the entertainment industry. Their genres primarily focus in the hip-hop gospel and R&B realm of music. Tickets range between 50 all the way up to 400 dollars for a ticket.

I love how their tickets are arranged. They give you 4 options to choose from with 3 packages. You have the general tickets, which are pretty cool, but then it gets better. They give you the gold package, platinum package, and the diamond package. Each package holds an incentive better than the next. Some tickets include orchestra seating, all the way down to food serving. Each ticket BET Awards prove to say that what you’re spending on benefits you and your comfort level.

What is also amazing is the honor of being nominated for an award and even better receiving it. Some of the nominees for this year are widely known. Here are a few of the names: Rihanna, Beyonce, Taraji P. Henson, Terrance Howard, and so much more! If you aren’t familiar, Taraji P. Henson and Terrance Howard both played in the FOX ‘hit’ series ‘Empire’. This is my dream and my goal in life to success. Small steps at at time.
